Meet Ekans, a tiny, all-black yorkie mix with a name straight out of the Pokémon world -- and a personality that's... a little unexpected. While her namesake might be known for slithering around, our Ekans has decided that walking is overrated and would much prefer to be carried like royalty. Leash? No thank you. Ground? Hard pass. Your arms? Now that's where she belongs. The moment you scoop her up, she's content, cozy, and right where she wants to be. Ekans is full of personality and definitely marches to the beat of her own drum. She may need some patience (and maybe a little creative encouragement) when it comes to leash walking, but what she lacks in enthusiasm for walks, she makes up for in affection and closeness.
