About Percy

Percy is bringing strong “main character in a coming-of-age story” energy, with just a dash of “who put me in charge of my own life?” This 9-month-old Chihuahua mix weighs in at a perfectly portable 12 pounds of curiosity, silliness, and soft-hearted charm. He’s not shy so much as… thoughtfully investigating the world before fully committing to it. At first glance, Percy might hang back and take it all in, like a tiny philosopher evaluating your vibe. But give him a minute (and maybe a confident dog to show him the ropes), and suddenly he’s Perc-y up and ready to join the fun. He thrives with dog friends who say, “Come on, it’s fine!” and he happily says, “You know what? You’re right. Let’s do this.” Percy’s “slow start” is really just his way of making sure he’s making excellent life choices. Once he decides you—and your household—are up to his standards, he blossoms into a sweet, social, and delightfully playful little guy. He’s the kind of pup who sneaks into your heart rather than barging in, and somehow that makes it even better. There’s a gentle softness to Percy that makes him especially lovable. He’s kind, affectionate, and just a little bit goofy once he gets comfortable. Expect some curious head tilts, some tentative first steps that quickly turn into zoomies, and a growing confidence that will have you cheering him on like a proud coach. Because he’s still very much a puppy, Percy is looking for a home that’s ready to help guide him as he continues figuring out the world. The good news? He’s eager, observant, and clearly taking notes. With a little patience and encouragement, he’s going to turn into a wonderfully well-rounded companion. Percy is already neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and tested negative on his 4DX for heartworm and tick-borne disease, so he’s all set to graduate into forever-home life.
