All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Meet Lyla, a gorgeous 8-month-old kitten with a gentle heart and soulful eyes. She tends to follow her sister, Mila everywhere- her built-in best friend who helps bring out Lyla's confidence and playful side. Lyla may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and you will see just how sweet she truly is. She prefers pats over wild playtime and will happily melt into your affection- bonus, if there is wet food involved! Through no fault of their own, Lyla and Mila found their way to us and are now looking for a forever home together. If you have room in your heart for a quiet, loving girl (and her equally wonderful sister), Lyla is ready to be a part of your story! All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
