My name is Zena, and I’ve lived through things no dog should have to—but I’ve kept my softness, somehow. I’m the kind of girl who prefers peaceful walks and long naps on the sofa over chaos and crowds. I was rescued from a construction site after losing my puppies to the brutal heat—others weren’t so lucky, and I carry that with me. I have a leg fracture that couldn’t be treated in Doha, so I sometimes don’t bear weight on it—but I’m hoping for a second opinion and better care abroad. I’m great with dogs and kind humans (including kids), and I bring a gentle presence to every room I enter. I thought I found my family but it turns out I'll need to find somewhere new to start my life! I didn't do anything wrong, things just didn't work out.. I am very easy going and don't need a lot of activity so I'd be an awesome couch potato! I have been finding my people very comforting as I decompress so I like to stay close by you. I'm sure with love and patience I'll be my confident self again soon. I made my way from Qatar to the US! I'm currently in the Chicago suburbs!
