Billy Ray is a super sweet, affectionate boy who just wants to be near his people. Whether you're watching TV, working from home, gardening or doing chores around the house, he's happiest just being by your side. He is toilet trained and confidently uses the doggy door. He is doing really well with crate training, settling in his crate overnight and improving quickly, he's gone from around 30 minutes of whining to about 10 minutes in just a few days. We are continuing to build his confidence with crate time and short periods alone during the day. On walks he is generally easy and doesn't pull, although he can get a little excited by squirrels, bikes or scooters. He just wants to sniff all the sniffs and pee on everything. He loves attention and will happily say hello to people along the way, he's very friendly and just assumes everyone wants to give him pats. He is also friendly with other dogs. He's currently learning what toys are and has just started to play, including his first zoomies, which has been very cute to watch. He's also discovering cuddles on the couch and is a very affectionate companion, still figuring out personal space but in the sweetest way. Overall, Billy Ray is a loving, gentle dog who will make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, people-oriented pup.
