Luna – ID #18361 – Kennel #878 Arrived April 18th – Retriever/Border Collie Mix – Black & White – Female – 1 year 4 months old – 45 lbs – Will be spayed prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Meet Luna — a beautiful black and white Retriever and Border Collie mix who arrived at the shelter on April 18th when her family moved to New York and could not take her along. This sweet girl is only 16 months old — barely more than a puppy herself — and she came in alongside her two puppies, doing her very best to be brave in a world that has suddenly become very confusing and very uncertain. Through absolutely no fault of her own this young mama now waits in Kennel #878, a little lost, a little bewildered, but sweet and gentle through it all. Despite everything she is going through Luna already knows sit, stay, and down, and is house trained and wonderful with children — remarkable for such a young dog who has been through so much in such a short time. She is the kind of girl who tries her hardest no matter what life throws at her, and the family who welcomes her home is going to be endlessly grateful for her loyalty and devotion. Luna is heartworm negative and up to date on all of her vaccines, and she will be spayed prior to adoption — healthy and ready for the fresh start she so deeply deserves. At just 16 months old she has her whole beautiful life ahead of her, and every single day of it deserves to be spent in a warm and loving home where she never has to wonder again where she belongs. If you have been looking for a young, sweet, and deeply devoted girl who will love your family with everything she has, please come meet Luna in Kennel #878. She has already shown what an incredible dog she is — now she just needs someone to give her the home she has always deserved. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers.
