When she first arrived in rescue, she was completely shut down - too scared to walk, too overwhelmed to explore, and unsure of what the world expected from her. With time, patience, and a loving foster home, Keira has slowly learned that life can be soft, safe, and full of joy. She's come out of her shell in the most beautiful ways, but she's still discovering the world for the very first time and needs a forever person who will guide her gently as she continues to build confidence. A Quiet Soul With a Blossoming Spirit: Keira is quiet as a mouse and gentle as they come. As her confidence has grown, so has her personality - and it's a delightful mix of puppylike curiosity and bulldog charm. She loves exploring new things, sniffing every corner of the yard, and trotting around with a spark of excitement in her eyes. And when she goes outside? Prepare yourself for instant zoomies. They're highenergy, hilarious, and over just as quickly as they start. Once she's done, she'll politely let you know it's time to head back in for a wellearned nap. A Friend to Creatures when given time: Keira has lived peacefully with two cats in foster care and has learned to simply walk past them like the polite little lady she is. She's also befriended a mini horse during her stay - yes, a mini horse - proving she's openhearted and adaptable with the right introductions. Learning the World One Adventure at a Time To help her confidence grow, Keira has been visiting parks, pet stores, and other public places. She takes everything in with wideeyed curiosity, and while she may need reassurance, she's brave enough to keep trying. She loves toys, comfy beds, and snuggles at every opportunity. She's also a creature of adorable habits: * She goes potty in the exact same spot every time * She does a tapdance routine when she needs to go out * She communicates her needs clearly * And when she's feeling sassy, she'll throw her head back and give you a hard bootyshake twerk that says, "I'm done with you!" Health & Care: Keira has been fully vetted, spayed, and has had nares and palate surgery. Her chronic ear infection has been treated, and she does have a heart murmur - but don't let that scare you. It doesn't affect her daily life and only requires a yearly checkin. She also needs a few minutes each morning for her dry eyes. She sits sweetly while you massage in her eye drops, then she's ready to start her day. Keira is a deep sleeper - once she's out, she's out. No need to tiptoe around her. She knows how to sit on command and perks up instantly at the sound of her leash. She loves being outside, but because she overheats easily, she'll need frequent breaks and a watchful eye on warm days.
