Dog's Name: Dexter (DEX0426ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Shih Tzu Approximate Age: 5-6 years Approximate Weight: 6 lbs Currently Living at: Coming Soon Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Dexter! Dexter is a sweet little Shih Tzu who was rescued along with his pals Aubrey and Bandit. They came from a home where their owner could no longer care for them. At the time, Dexter was in desperate need of grooming—but just look at him now! With his fresh haircut, he's feeling like a whole new man and is ready to start his next chapter. Despite everything he's been through, Dexter is as friendly and loving as they come. He enjoys the company of people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him an easy addition to most any home. Dexter may be small, but his capacity for love is enormous. He's ready to trade his past for a future where he will be cherished the way he deserves. If you have room in your heart and home for this precious little man, Dexter is ready to give you a lifetime of love in return. Apply today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
