Peaky is a small white and cream Pekingese with long hair, living in Omaha, NE. At about 4 and a half years old, she is spayed, house trained, and up to date on her vaccinations. Peaky has special needs—she’s blind—and she prefers to be the only animal in the home.

About Peaky

Peaky lost her home when her owner was evicted, landing her in a tough spot at the shelter. Despite being blind, she adapts quickly—following voices, sensing anyone nearby, and always wanting to be close to her people. Peaky is calm, low key, and happiest curled up for a nap or soaking up a belly rub. She sleeps through the night in her crate and makes a sweet, steady sidekick for someone looking for a devoted companion. Because Peaky likes to be the boss and isn’t fond of other dogs, cats, or small kids, she needs to be the only animal in her new home. A securely fenced yard is required so she can safely enjoy the outdoors, as invisible fencing isn’t safe for her situation. Out-of-state adopters are welcome if you can come to Omaha and pass a home visit. Peaky is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready for the right person to bring her home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
