Hi… I’m Dumbledore. A couple years ago, I wasn’t the confident, handsome brown tabby and white gentleman you see today. I came here feral… unsure, afraid, and not quite convinced that humans were worth trusting. It took a whole lot of patience, quiet moments, gentle voices… and yes, plenty of food… for me to finally realize I was safe. Because of that, I want to be honest with you… when I go to my new home, I won’t be the kind of cat who settles in overnight. I’ll probably hide at first. I’ll be nervous. I’ll need time, space, and understanding. But if you give me that chance… I promise I am so worth the wait. Once I trust you, my true personality comes out… and it’s a good one. I turn into a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves attention. I’ll roll all over the floor like a little roly-poly, showing off my belly and hoping you’ll stop to pet me (and you definitely should). I love being brushed, I love being loved on, and I’m quite proud of how handsome I look just sitting there being cute. I’m also a playful guy… catnip toys are a favorite, and I love running around with my cat friends. Speaking of that… I really love other cats. Snuggling, rubbing up against them (we call it “snuggle walking”), napping together… it’s my thing. I would do best in a home where I have feline friends to keep me company. Treat time? Oh, that’s the best time. Crunchy treats, lickable treats… if snacks are involved, you’ll find me front and center enjoying every bite. I also love soaking up the sun, curling up in cozy beds, and just being part of a peaceful, loving environment. Oh… and I recently had a dental, so my teeth are squeaky clean and ready for all the treats you want to spoil me with. If you’re patient, kind, and willing to let me come out of my shell at my own pace… I think we could be something really special. You can come meet me daily from 1–5pm. I’ll be the handsome one… probably near the treats. My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat. I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats — absolutely no declawing.
