<p>Meet Liberty "Birdie"</p> <p>Birdie is a gentle, soulful girl who keeps her tender heart a little guarded when meeting new peopleNever aggressive just unsure. But if you give her a few days, and you'll start to see her personality quietly shine through.</p> <p>Once she feels safe and settles into a routine, Birdie absolutely loves being close to her person. She'll curl up beside you on the couch and, every now and then, softly place her paw on you with a tilted head as if to ask, "Is now a good time for some scratches?" It's her quiet, endearing way of connecting.</p> <p>Birdie is about 4 years old and has a wonderfully calm, nature. She enjoys chewing on a bone and may toss it around a bit, but she hasn't quite discovered the joy of toys just yet. She's great with dogs of all sizes and does well with people of all ages.</p> <p>She's also proven to be very trustworthy in the home and hasn't needed a crate when left alone.</p> <p>Birdie's ideal home would be with someone a little patient who is willing to give her a week or so to decompress and show her true self. A fenced yard would be a huge bonus to help her continue building confidence. Adoption fees include examination by our trusted veterinary team, spay or neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, comprehensive deworming, heartworm test, and microchip. Adoption fees range from $395 to $495 based on the age and health of each individual animal. Puppies are $495, adults are $450 and seniors or some special needs are $395.
