About Lyla
Lyla wandered into a park in Louisiana, Missouri, alone and carrying the marks of a rough past—a prominent scar on her head and an eye that sets her apart. Even after whatever she's been through, her gentle, steady temperament stands out. She’s already spayed and house trained, so she’ll settle right in. At about 3 years old and weighing around 61 lbs, she’s got the perfect large-dog stature without the high-strung energy that sometimes comes with it. Every person she meets gets a tail wag and a warm hello; she genuinely reminds you that dogs really are resilient. Despite her scars, Lyla’s never met a stranger. With other dogs, she’s a diplomat—matching her playmates’ energy and aiming for harmony, not chaos. There’s nothing about her that hints at bitterness, just resilience and genuine affection. She needs a safe place and a little kindness—a home that’ll see her scars as just part of her story, not the definition of it. Give her the shot she deserves.
