I know I might not be the friendliest cat at the shelter. I"m going to hiss at you and run if you try to pet me without asking first. I might hiss and run even if you do ask me because I don't trust you. Prior to living at CCC, I lived in a junkyard where people were mean and scary and didn't take care of me or my friends. I had to fight to stay alive. I am so thankful to have been rescued by CCC and even though I've only met nice people here, it's hard to trust them, especially when the shelter is loud and people are reaching out to touch me without permission. I can't even imagine a life where I would have my own home, my own bed, my own family. Where I would be special to someone. At the shelter I have to share everything, even by best friend Joey. It will take a long time for me to trust someone, but I'm hoping someone will take that risk and show me that I am loveable and worthy.
