Toby is a sweet, sensitive boy who loves being close to his people. Once he feels safe and comfortable, he's a very cuddly dog who enjoys quiet time and gentle affection. He can be a bit anxious and unsure, especially in new situations or with unfamiliar handling, so he'll need a patient home willing to go at his pace. Toby does best with calm, consistent routines and someone who can help him continue building confidence over time. Because of this, he would do best in a home with older kids who understand dog body language and can provide a predictable, low-stress environment. He may take a little longer to fully settle in, but as his trust grows, so does his affectionate and loving side. With time, understanding, and a little extra patience, Toby has the potential to be a very loyal and devoted companion.
