About Chief Keef Prison Program
Meet Chief Keef! He arrived as a stray and is about 2 years old. Chief Keef came in extremely thin, which has made him very food-driven—he’s not used to regular meals, so he can get a little wild around treats and feeding time. At the shelter, he’s getting three meals a day with a slow feeder and will need continued support and understanding as he learns to feel secure with food. Because of this, staff recommend a home without small children, since kids tend to walk around with snacks. Despite his tough start, Chief Keef is a sweet, friendly guy who clearly wants connection and stability. He’s neutered, up to date on rabies vaccination, and heartworm and Lyme negative. Chief Keef isn’t housetrained yet, so some patience and consistency will be needed. He’s now located at the Manci Prison Program in Mansfield, OH and not at the main shelter.
