About Edna

Edna is a four-month-old yellow Labrador puppy with a cheerful face and the kind of giant paws that only promise a big, gorgeous adult dog. In true Lab fashion, she thrives on play, always has her nose in something new, and approaches life with pure joy. She’s smitten with toys, treats, and mealtime, jumping at any chance to be part of whatever is happening around her. Edna’s past hasn’t been easy—her Labrador mom was left out in the cold after giving birth, and only Edna and her brother survived. But she’s bounced back with plenty of resilience and eagerness for the next adventure. Now safe and on sturdy footing, Edna’s thriving in foster care and looking for a family who can keep up with her energy and invest in her growth. She’ll need ongoing training, structure, and plenty of positive engagement. In exchange, she promises all the affection and loyalty that comes naturally to a Lab. Edna gets along well with both children and dogs, but not with cats. Edna is available for adoption in Alexandria, VA and the broader DC/Maryland area. The rescue is not conducting in-person home visits, and your application should include photos or video of your home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
