About Flipper

FLIPPER is a former streetwise tomcat who's exchanged tough living for soft bedding and gentle hands. His tuxedo coat is striking—mostly jet black, but with crisp white at his mouth, chest, belly, and paws. Check his nose and you'll see a unique black diamond marking that makes him easy to spot. At around 4 to 6 years old, FLIPPER spent his early years fending for himself outdoors, probably scrapping for food and security. Since arriving at the center, he was wary at first but gradually began to trust, especially after receiving treatment for minor medical and dental concerns. FLIPPER has come a long way with patient socialization. Now, he enjoys gentle petting and will bump his head affectionately into your hand, especially when he's in the mood for some attention. He's just as happy quietly taking in his surroundings or curling up for a nap on his favorite flannel blanket. FLIPPER is FIV positive, so he’ll need to remain strictly indoors, keep up with a quality diet, and have annual vet visits—none of which keeps him from living a healthy, contented life. He's fully neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find a stable, loving home that will respect his journey and offer the security and warmth he deserves.
