About Cain
Cain was born on February 1, 2024, which makes him an Aquarius—a sign known for independence and curiosity. This sensitive Great Pyrenees mix weighs around 95 lbs and has a gentle soul beneath his imposing size. Cain is moderate on leash but doesn’t bark as much as one might expect from his breed, though when he does, his voice carries. He isn’t suited for livestock guardian dog work, as he tends to scale fences around 4 feet and may test even higher boundaries over time. Cain must be the only pet in the home. He thrives with a patient, experienced owner committed to his continued training and transition to indoor life, or with coyote-proof fencing if kept outdoors. For outdoor living, a properly sized shelter is a must. Cain is sweet and eager to please, but he’s not yet house trained and needs someone willing to invest in his adjustment. He is neutered, vaccinated (including a rattlesnake vaccine but not kennel cough), microchipped, and had a thorough annual checkup this year. Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives for the next year may be available at cost. To ensure a good fit, a veterinary reference will be required. Cane’s nature makes him easy to love, so his adoption is restricted to homes equipped to manage his specific needs. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Great Pyrenees mixes like Cain need a large, secure yard to safely explore without the temptation to roam. Cain can jump typical four-foot fences, so extra care is needed for his outdoor time.

The Great Pyrenees is usually friendly with children, but since Cain needs to be an only pet and benefits from a patient, experienced home, interactions should be closely supervised, especially with younger kids.
