Exercise and games will be what help keep me (and you!) happiest. I'm a lively and intelligent dog who will need to be provided with daily mental and physical stimulation. I will follow you around for attention - spending time with my people is the best part of the day! I would love to get up and go adventure with you. My last foster parent gave me a glowing review: she said I'm a great sleeper, am well housetrained and do well in the kennel! I sometimes think humans are toys - chasing, pouncing, and grabbing onto arms and legs. I'll need help with re-directing my energy onto appropriate toys as well as being rewarded when I'm in a calm and relaxed state. Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment. High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish. Resource Guarding: I have a history of guarding my people, food, toys and/or bedding from other animals or people. The type of home I'm looking for: I am not for the first time dog owner. Someone very familiar with canine body language is a must for me. I need to be the only dog in the home. I need a home without cats or other small animals.
