About Norman

MEET NORMAN!! This VERY VOCAL one-year-old has got the meow of an old man and the body and stature of a kitten!! He's all done growing, so he will literally be a FOREVER KITTEN, which is great, especially given his personality. LOL So here's a little more info about our cute little devil... Where do we begin? To start with, Norman cracks us up each and every day. The moment he sees anyone entering his space, he starts chatting away. And his chatter is like NOTHING you've ever heard before! He sounds like an old man who, as one of our visitors put it, "sounds like he smokes ten packs a day." LOL It's really hysterical!! But once he gets his wet food, he's very content and very quiet. Norman is SUPER DUPER playful, like the energizer bunny on steroids!! He plays all by himself, entertaining both himself AND those around him! Again, hysterical!! Norman surprisingly is very calm and almost gentle around other cats, knowing his place and following their lead. And if they don't want to play with him, he is totally fine with that. Again, he will just entertain himself (and us). The thing about Norman is he's just a little "off." Some may say "He's a few sandwiches short of a picnic," or "He's got a screw loose," but nothing too terrible. Norman is incredibly friendly and engaging, but he's just a little unpredictable sometimes. He comes to you for love and then, after a bunch of pets, jumps back wondering who said you could do that, and he might even give you a little swat to put you in your place. Thankfully, as we mentioned, he's as tiny as a kitten so he can't do any real damage. And just like that, a millisecond later, he's back demanding your love! At times he doesn't really know what he wants and gets a little overstimulated, that's all. Since we let him in the cat room with the other kitties, he's actually doing much better with that. He craves attention and affection and seems to tolerate and manage receiving it without incident most of the time. Norman has become the mayor in the cat room. He is the first to greet you, the first to rub all over you and the first one to strike up a conversation with you! Well, he's actually the only one that will do that. LOL What can we say? We love our forever kitten, Norman. He can be loud, he can be fresh, he can be a bit wild and unruly, but he is so cute, he is so adorable, he is so funny, he is so soft, he is so little, he is so fluffy, he is so lovable and (most of the time) he is SOOOO SWEET!! We feel Norman would do great and truly blossom in a home with someone who has cat experience, doesn't mind the occasional swat from "a kitten" and where there are no very young children he can menace.
