OTIS: a young crowned prince looking for a his Happily-Ever-After DOB: 9/25/23 (As written by his foster mother, with input from the current reigning feline Emperor of the household) Otis is a friendly, lively, not-really-playing-by-the-rules, prince. Otis was mentored by top royalty on how to act like a prince. Unfortunately, only a few of those lessons stuck. He is a Pick Me! and a FOMO prince. He has to be where you are to determine if his attention is needed in the matter (like when you are in the bathroom). Otis takes his tower watching seriously, and can be found camped on the highest tier. He will wait for you by the front door and be the first to greet you when you get home, so you can shower him with rightful adulation. Otis excels at athletics and sparring. He has learned sparring from the resident Emperor himself, and has been deemed an excellent one-on-one wrestler, chaser, and player. He is proficient in ball/spiral/mouse chase, and jumps and leaps for the wand. His favorite pastime, when the emperor is too tired, is to be chased by the resident human on all levels of the current abode. He surpassed the current Emperor in AM and PM zoomies, and is a standout with wielding his tail like a whip. Otis has high marks in diplomacy, and would be a good fit with an easy-going cat sibling or feline friendly dog that loves to play. He would do best with older children, as he is a FOMO/Pick Me type, his loyalty lies with kids who can appreciate and understand his quirky awesomeness. Otis has shown to be very empathetic. He will inspect the bed to make sure it is just right for you, ensure you are okay by making himself available for therapeutic pets, then settle down to sleep on the bed to keep watch over you. Physics is an on-going fascination for Otis. He specializes in Newton’s Laws of Physics—especially objects in motion, say, from a ledge to the floor. His experiments are usually run when he is bored or feeding time has been delayed. Otis is a young prince (about 3), and he gets very excited for scratches and pets. It is best to speak to his highness in a calm manner so he can settle down and appreciate the shower of attention. A few more things about Otis—he will co-opt any sleeping space, hides under furniture when overwhelmed (he can be a scaredy cat), and cocks his head to the side (like a dog) when he thinks you are being obtuse. Since Otis has finished his Prince-in-training program, he’s looking for a forever kingdom where he can rule over his subjects, and have his happily-ever-after.
