The diagnosis was not what we had hoped for; several tumors were benign, but two were carcinomas, with life expectancy projections of six to 19 months and six to 24 months. The knowledge that a spay could have extended her life makes this diagnosis particularly frustrating. On a somewhat positive note, the biopsy determined that her hair loss is allergy-related. This case illustrates our dedication to rescue animals like Gigi, ensuring they have a high quality of life despite their limited life expectancy. Given the difficulties of the past year, this news has been especially disheartening, but we are committed to maximizing her remaining time.
