Dru is a 10-month-old, 55 lb lovebug! Dru came to his foster home March 29th after being in the shelter for 27 days. He has adapted quickly in his foster home and is eager to find his forever home. Dru is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves attention, cuddles, and being close to his people. He forms strong bonds and truly just wants to be part of your life. While he has his playful moments, he’s surprisingly laid back for his age. He doesn’t bark much and has a calm, easygoing presence in the home. Dru is a large dog with an athletic, muscular build. He’s currently working on leash manners and has already made impressive progress. In his foster home, he enjoys a 20–30 minute walk in the morning and another in the evening, along with a few yard breaks during the day. With that routine, he’s content to relax and nap in his crate when inside. He is potty trained and already knows “sit.” He is crate trained and does well settling. He also enjoys a good game of fetch. Dru is friendly with people of all ages, including kids. He gets along well with other dogs but benefits from guidance with boundaries. Like many large puppies, he doesn’t always realize his size and strength. He was co-housed with another dog at the shelter and is currently living with two dogs in his foster home. He’s a smart dog who will continue to thrive with training. Because of his size and strength, Dru would do best with someone who can provide structure, consistency, and guidance to help him continue growing into a well-mannered adult.
