Housebroken and gentle by nature, Beth gets along well with both dogs and children. She doesn’t require much activity and enjoys a calm environment.

About Beth

Beth spent days wandering a lonely levee road after being left behind near the Sacramento River. Shelter life left her heartbroken—she barely moved from her dog bed, drained and silent. But given a weekend away by a kind officer, Beth came alive again. She handled bath time calmly, proved to be perfectly housebroken, and showed her mellow nature. While Beth knows her basic commands and walks well on leash, she mostly wants to be near her person—whether that's lounging on the couch or curling up quietly on her pet bed at night after a gentle reminder. She’s indifferent to other dogs around the house and, when introduced to cats, acted unfazed—confident adult cats would suit her just fine. Beth makes a gentle, affectionate companion. She’s happiest in calm spaces and could absolutely thrive in an apartment; daily life for her means quiet company, short leash walks, and lots of lounging. She asks for little beyond a soft place to rest and someone to stick close by. All adoptions are by appointment. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
