Meet Teddy Teddy is a 3-year-old Jindo who came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed. He's a calm, independent boy with an aloof personality typical of his breed, and he's looking for a home that understands and respects his space. Staff have observed that Teddy is friendly and easy to approach, though he can be a bit difficult to leash at first. Once leashed, he's well behaved and easy to walk, making outings enjoyable and low-stress. He also knows how to sit on command, showing he has a nice foundation to build on. Teddy tends to be indifferent toward other dogs, often ignoring them both on walks and during introductions. He also allows handling, but prefers not to be overly touched and does best with people who respect his boundaries. Our medical team has provided Teddy with a dental cleaning, helping him feel his best as he prepares for his new home. Because he is still building tolerance for handling and socialization, Teddy would do best in a home with older children who can interact with him calmly and respectfully. Teddy is looking for a patient adopter who appreciates a more independent, low-key companion. With time and understanding, he'll make a loyal and steady friend.
