About Kajou

Meet Kajou — a little survivor with a big heart Kajou is an eight-month-old red and white Egyptian Mau with the most striking eyes and a playful spirit that shines through in everything he does. Like many of our rescues, Kajou's journey hasn't been easy, but he's held onto his gentle, loving nature every step of the way. This sweet boy is curious, affectionate, and full of kitten energy. He loves to explore his surroundings, chase toys, and then curl up nearby just to be close to his people. Kajou has that special blend of independence and devotion that makes the Egyptian Mau such a beloved breed. He's still young, which means he's ready to grow up in a home where he'll be cherished, protected, and given the chance to truly thrive. All he needs is someone willing to open their heart and give him the safe, loving future he deserves. Kajou has already come so far—now he just needs his person. Could that be you? Apply to adopt Kajou and give this beautiful boy the forever home he's been waiting for. #AdoptDontShop #RescueCat #EgyptianMau #CatRescue #ForeverHomeWanted #AdoptKajou #RescueKittens #CatLovers #SaveALife #FromEgyptWithLove #AdoptableCats #KittenLove #RescueIsLove All of our cats for adoption are sterilized, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms, are negative for FIV/FELV, have a registered microchip, and come with their travel crate. Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Potential adopters for our Persian cats need to have prior Persian cat experience as they need to be well cared for. Grooming, dental, and veterinarian exams are done once a year, and a good quality brand of cat food such as Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, or Purina Pro plan is the upper tier level with a black label. We are a rescue and get what we get in terms of cats in need of a home. In no way do we work with breeders or buy the cats from the Friday markets so we can put them up for adoption as a rescue. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11596/generic Native Mau Cats of Egypt are the oldest known descendants of Egyptian domesticated cats (which have provided a partial foundation for the recent Egyptian Mau cat breed), and they are one of only a few naturally occurring, small, spotted cats in the world. Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and by an approved application. NVEcats aims to increase education in Egypt and around the world about these magnificent and intelligent cats. Cats and kittens are not adopted out on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We choose to match our applicants and cats based on what we deem as best suited for that particular cat or kitten.
