AvailableRex is a Greyhound male in North Fort Myers, FL, in the young stage of life. He is neutered, vaccinations are up to date, and he is not yet house trained. Rex gets along well with children and other dogs, making him a fun companion in the right active household.
About Rex
Rex is one of three Greyhounds, or Galgos, who made the long trip from Spain for a fresh start. Coming from tough beginnings, he’s beaten the odds—but you wouldn’t know it from his demeanor. Rex remains exuberant and playful, almost puppy-like, always eager to greet people and light up with joy at any chance to play. His spirited nature and resilience stand out daily. An active home will suit Rex best, where someone can keep up with his lively streak. He flourishes with regular play, long walks, and plenty of interaction. After a full day, he turns into a first-class snuggler and enjoys relaxing close by. Rex gets along with children and most other dogs but is not a good fit for cats. He’s looking for someone ready to offer him a new chapter filled with activity, comfort, and companionship. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Rex
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Rex, as a Greyhound, typically does well in homes that provide moderate space and a calm environment. While he loves to run, most Greyhounds adapt comfortably to indoor living, especially in homes that will give him daily walks and soft places to relax.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A Greyhound like Rex is content with a secure yard for occasional sprints, but doesn’t need a huge outdoor space. Regular walks and some supervised off-leash time in a fenced area are usually enough.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Greyhounds are generally gentle and patient dogs, making them a good match for homes with children. Rex’s friendly nature means he should fit in well with families that have kids.
