About Hex
Hex is enrolled in the Camp Purr working cat program meant for feral or semi-feral cats best suited to outdoor life as working cats on your property. Adopters are expected to provide year-round shelter, food, and water, as well as work alongside the Camp Purr team to ensure Hex gets acclimated to the new surroundings in a humane way. Because these cats have established bonds with their group, Hex must be adopted with at least one other Camp Purr cat for their well-being. Each cat in this program, including Hex, has already been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and the adoption fee is set at $25 per cat. If you’re interested, appointments are required so the Camp Purr team can give you their full attention and support. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Hex
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Domestic short hair cats like Hex do well in a range of environments, but as a working cat, Hex will thrive best in an outdoor setting such as a farm, barn, or workshop where he can patrol and keep pests in check.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Hex, being part of the working cat program, will benefit from having access to a safe outdoor area. He doesn't require a huge amount of land, but a secure yard, barn, or similar space gives him plenty of room to roam and be effective as a working cat.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While domestic short hair cats can do well with children, Hex is suited for an outdoor working environment and may not be a typical companion for kids. His semi-feral background means he prefers less handling and a quieter interaction with people.
