Meet Sugar — A Gentle Soul Learning to Feel Safe Sugar is the kind of dog who moves through the world thoughtfully. She’s observant, sensitive, and takes her time—preferring to understand her surroundings before jumping in. There’s something incredibly genuine about her… nothing forced, nothing rushed. At 2 years old, Sugar who is a spayed female Terrier and Poodle Mix was found in an abandoned house in Banning with Cinnamon and Maxwell Smart, where they had been getting by since November 2025. Experiences like that leave an imprint, and Sugar carries it in the way she approaches life—with caution, awareness, and a need to feel safe first. She’s not the dog who will run up to you right away—but give her patience and kindness, and you’ll see something really special unfold. Her trust builds slowly, but when it does, it’s meaningful, steady, and real. Sugar is looking for a calm, understanding home that will move at her pace, honor her sensitivity, and give her the space to come out of her shell in her own time. Sensitive. Thoughtful. Worth every moment. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications.
