About Chief
Chief is a 6-year-old beagle mix with a classic hound look in white, cream, and brown. Right now, he’s working on trimming down, and he’ll appreciate a family who’s up for joining him on his wellness journey. Chief has spent much of his life outdoors and clearly enjoys everything about fresh air—sniffing around, sunbathing, or just lazing in the grass. People are very much his thing: he loves attention and even seems to like a good spa day, never turning down a bath or brushing session. True to his beagle roots, Chief’s got a strong set of lungs, and he isn’t shy about welcoming strangers with a bark. He tends to quiet down once he realizes you’re not a threat (or after you’ve handed out a treat). On-leash, he’s gentle and easygoing, making for good company on walks or backyard hangouts. Chief prefers to be the only dog in the house, though he’s made it work with another canine before—a meet and greet will settle things if you’ve got a current dog. Chief is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, all set to start fresh with a family who loves an old-school hound with spirit. Cancer is his zodiac sign—no surprise for a dog who appreciates comfort and a steady routine. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
