About Casey

Casey is being fostered in the Portland area and is hoping to find his forever family somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. He prefers a home with a mom, but would be fine with a patient dad, too, as long as he gets time to build trust at his pace. Casey is a small, sturdy guy at 18 lbs and around 2 years old, sporting a unique auburn coat. He’s a true mutt—easy to spot thanks to his coloring. Casey was rescued after running loose with two bigger dogs at an apartment complex. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan made sure he found safety. Now, Casey feels right at home with other dogs and is always up for a play session. He enjoys people and loves affection, but does best with older children who know how to give him space. Ready for both adventure and cuddles, Casey enjoys daily long walks, hikes, or simply riding along in the car. He’s crate trained, likes to relax in his crate, and doesn’t mind rainy days—fitting right in for Pacific Northwest living. Whether hanging out in the yard or curling up on a lap, Casey combines playfulness and sweetness in one compact package. He just needs someone willing to meet him with patience and an open heart.
