***Staff thinks I will be ready by Mid/Late April. My foster family says About 1 year old, this sweet girl has blossomed into a loving and gentle companion after raising a litter of kittens. She’s shown what a devoted mama she is, and now it’s her turn to be cared for and loved. While she may need a little time to adjust to a new home, she clearly enjoys human attention—leaning into pets, accepting daily brushing, and settling into a calm environment. She’s litter box trained, eats Science Diet, and has great indoor manners. She would do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can give her the time and space to fully settle in. Once she does, you’ll see just how special she is—she’s ready to bond closely with her person and truly be part of a family *** I am not currently at the shelter because I'm helping my kittens grow big and strong in a foster home! You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed on an animal. Once I am ready to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. We want to be healthy for our new life together!
