Woozy may have a name that conjures that feeling of eating too many funnel cakes and riding too many roller coasters on a hot summer's day at Six Flags... but we like to think he is so-named because he makes all of his admirers dizzy with affection! This 1.5-year-old yellow Lab mix boy recently made the bold life decision to relocate from Birmingham, Alabama, where he was found outside as a stray, to the Chicagoland area. Luckily given the unseasonably warm temps that welcomed him upon his arrival, he still has time to adjust to concepts like "Fake Spring," and "lake-effect snow." True to his Lab roots, Woozy operates under the firm belief that everyone is his friend-strangers, neighbors, and especially other dogs. If you have hands for petting or a dog for playing, he is immediately available and extremely enthusiastic about the opportunity. Woozy came off of the transport van in great spirits, even after his long journey here, and he has kept his spirits high ever since. He seems genuinely happy to be here, and to be making so many nice new two and four-legged friends! He came up to us with fellow Alabamian, Olga, who was more shy and shut down on arrival. Thanks to Woozy's cool and confident vibes, she has blossomed in record time. They are kennel roomies, and Woozy has no issues sharing with her. He is such a good buddy to have! Despite his young age, he has very good manners. He greets you with happy tail wags instead of jumpy chaos, and he seems genuinely pleased just to be included in whatever you're doing. Walk? Great. Hang out? Perfect. Exist in the same room? Amazing. He would love a home where he can continue perfecting important life skills like making dog friends and charming every human he meets! He is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
