Bacon Bit's Jog-a-dog 3/6/26: I am very curious, I sniffed everything! I am very friendly and while I am a shy at first I am quick to warm up to people. Loud noises scare me but after some reassuring pats and hugs I adjust and keep going about my day. I LOVE treats. I’m more interested in sniffing than running. Shy and a bit scared of new situations like bikes, scooters, loud noises. In a quieter area I quickly settle down. When I’m scared I lean or tuck behind my person. But I get comfortable again quickly. I know how to sit for a treat. When I want extra attention I gently jump up for a hug. I am a great listener. I don’t seem to know how to walk on a leash well just yet but with some tasty treats I bet I will be a very fast learner. We started a walk down to Old Sacramento along the river pathway and I sniffed absolutely everything along the way. There were a lot of loud noises so we diverted to downtown where it was a little quieter. I liked that better. I was able to meet some people when we were having a snack at a cafe and I was quick to warm up to new people. I really love snacks! I was quick to learn where the snacks were kept and I’m happy to help myself if you are not fast enough. :) I like to play catch with my toys and will let you take it back and throw it again. I was affectionate and trusting with my volunteers and I am so happy when I am relaxed and know my surroundings.
