Looking for a big, lovable companion who's equal parts cuddle buddy and confident explorer? Meet Willy, a handsome large gray tabby with a heart just as big as his paws. Willy joined us in mid-March after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter. While we don't know how he ended up there, we do know one thing for sure and that is that he's ready to leave that chapter behind and find a forever home where he can truly shine. At 4 years old, Willy is in the sweet spot of cat life. He's past the wild kitten phase but still has plenty of personality and playful curiosity. Cats his age tend to be: * More settled and predictable in their behavior * Fully grown into their personalities (what you see is what you get!) * Less likely to get into constant mischief compared to kittens * Perfect companions for both relaxing evenings and interactive playtime Willy is FIV+, but please don't let that deter you. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus): - Is not contagious to humans or dogs - Is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds between outdoor cats competing for limited resources - Does not prevent cats from living long, happy lives especially in a safe, indoor home As for Willy's personality? He's an absolute dream. * Laid-back and social with people * Already confidently exploring and "strutting his stuff" around the shelter * Loves being held and thrives on human attention If you've been searching for a true lap cat, Willy is your guy. Volunteers say cuddling with him feels like hugging a warm, purring weighted blanket. He's comforting, calming and impossible to resist. He's been described time and time again as incredibly affectionate and sweet. Willy is ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch, a sunny window and a human or an entire family to call his own.
