About Sundae
Sundae is a striking calico about 4–5 years old and searching for an especially patient foster or adopter. She’s playful and curious, always up for tossing around a wand toy or sneaking in some independent exploring. Sundae appreciates gentle affection—especially neck and bum scratches that really get her purr going. She is considered special needs since she comes with a bit more complexity. Sundae has food allergies and thrives best on a chicken-free diet, which has been straightforward to manage. She also has an old, poorly healed hip injury that’s kept comfortable with daily pain medication and a bit of added laxative in her meals. She’s adapted well with a microchip feeder routine, making her care easier once established. Socially, Sundae is on the shy, sensitive side. She’s done beautifully with slow, gentle socialization, but she does need a calm and predictable home that’s willing to give her time. She won’t be the cat to rush up to visitors—she needs quiet, observant people who can respect boundaries and find joy in the little wins. The real breakthrough comes when Sundae is placed with another friendly cat; she blossoms and grows noticeably braver when she has a feline buddy, ideally a gentle male. She’s never been aggressive and really comes out of her shell in the company of other cats—even seeking out more human attention in their presence. If you love sensitive, subtle cats and have the patience to watch progress unfold slowly, Sundae might be the companion for you. She’s a good fit for someone with a kind streak and at least one cat at home (or open to adopting one) who's ready to celebrate every step. Her trust is hard-won, but worth it. Your new best friend is just one click away.
