Meet Augustine, a two-year-old brown tabby boy with the gentlest soul. He’s FIV/FeLV negative, and as sweet as they come. Augustine came from a life outdoors—we don’t know exactly what he’s been through, but we do know this… he’s ready for something better. He’s soft. He’s quiet. He melts into you when you hold him, trying to make himself small, as if he’s still learning that he’s safe now. You’ll notice him glance over his shoulder sometimes… but then he settles in, especially when he’s near his best friend. That best friend is Sherwood 💛 Sherwood, estimated around 2–3 years old, has a story that could have broken him—but didn’t. He came to us with a severe neck wound, likely from a bite that became badly infected. His skin was angry, his fur torn away… it was heartbreaking. And yet—through everything—Sherwood remained kind, gentle, and trusting. He may be a little unsure about being picked up right away, but give him some time… and oh, those chin scratches? Absolute heaven to him. Sherwood is FIV positive, but don’t let that worry you—he can live a long, healthy life and can safely live with other cats. He’s truly a lover, not a fighter. 💫 Together, these two are something special. Whether they’re brothers or just found each other along the way, one thing is clear—they gravitate to each other, and it’s incredibly endearing to watch. Augustine brings comfort. Sherwood brings quiet strength. And together… they make each other feel safe.
