About Henry
Meet Henry, the ex-con who beat the odds. Once swept up in the shelter system for a supposed 'urinary blockage,' Henry narrowly avoided the worst simply because the diagnosis was wrong. Turns out, Henry never had a blockage—he was set free thanks to some dedicated folks who saw the truth. What he does have is a bit of nerve damage in his hind end, but you'd never know it from his calm, loving presence. At about 9 years old, this orange-and-white gentleman spent his entire life indoors before the chaos of shelter life turned everything upside down. Despite it all, Henry remains affectionate and steady—he adores chin scratches, melts for head pets, and prefers to keep his needs simple: regular wet food, a soft place to nap, and a sunny window for neighborhood surveillance. For Henry, kindness is everything. He’s gentle, incredibly grateful, and just wants someone to dote on him again. Henry is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and FeLV/FIV negative. He’s completely house trained and would love a peaceful home to call his own. Henry doesn’t get along with dogs or young kids, but he'll charm any adult willing to give him the gentle life he craves.
