Opie! Opie is a 5 to 7 year old stubbornly sweet pittie with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He is house trained and crate trained and does well once he settles into a routine. Opie is the kind of dog who likes to do things at his own pace but forms strong bonds with his people. Once he trusts you he is incredibly loyal and affectionate in his own way. He enjoys attention and will often lean in for pets when he is in the mood. He has a goofy side that shows up in his expressions and the way he moves through the world and he brings a lot of character to every room he is in. He can be a bit headstrong at times but it is part of what makes him so endearing and fun to get to know. Opie is heartworm positive but like all dogs in our care he is absolutely worth every step of treatment. Our rescue will cover his heartworm treatment through an approved veterinary partner and he will not have to face it alone. We will stand by him through every appointment every milestone and every bit of recovery until he is healthy and ready for his next chapter.
