About Grumpy
Meet Grumpy <3 Don't let the name fool you-Grumpy is a handsome, spirited guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart once you earn it. Around 4-6 years old (estimated birthday 3.24.21), Grumpy has had quite the journey. After his beloved owner passed away, he's been adjusting to a quieter life alongside his housemate, Red. Through all the change, Grumpy has shown just how resilient he is-and how much he still has to give. Grumpy is the kind of cat who likes to do things on his own terms. He's friendly with people, enjoys pets and head bumps, and can even be a bit talkative when he's in the mood. He will let you pick him up-but he'll also politely let you know when he's ready to be set back down. He's a great communicator like that! With a history of both indoor and outdoor living, Grumpy has a curious, adventurous spirit-if he had a job, it would definitely be "neighborhood hunter." Since coming into our care, he's been fully indoors and is learning to embrace the cozy indoor life, especially when it includes a good window view and a comfy place to nap. Grumpy does best with experienced cat owners who understand that he may need a little time and space to decompress and settle in. He's not a fan of high-energy dogs or busy, multi-pet households, but he has successfully lived with a calm dog in the past. While Grumpy hasn't always loved other cats, something special has happened during this transition-he's formed a bond with Red. The two independent boys have found comfort in each other, and because they've already lost so much, we would love to see them adopted together into a calm, understanding home. Grumpy is fully litterbox trained, has great house manners, and is up-to-date on his vet care. He enjoys both wet and dry food and will happily keep you company once he's settled. If you're patient, cat-savvy, and looking for a companion with personality, depth, and a little bit of sass, Grumpy (and his buddy Red!) might just be the perfect addition to your home.
