About Grumpy
Meet Grumpy. Despite the name, Grumpy is not your typical curmudgeon. Underneath that tough exterior, he's a spirited cat with real personality and, once he trusts you, a deeply affectionate side. Grumpy is about five years old, and after losing his person, he's spent time learning to adjust to a quieter life. He’s shared space with his housemate, Red, and together they've found some stability after a turbulent change. Grumpy does things on his own terms. He likes people and approaches for head bumps and pets, though he signals when he's ready for alone time. You can pick him up, just expect honest feedback when he's had enough. He has lived both inside and out, and brings a bit of a neighborhood hunter’s curiosity to his explorations—even now, a window perch and a cozy spot inside make him content. He adapts best to experienced cat owners who understand cats with independent streaks. He’s not a fan of chaotic, noisy homes. Grumpy once lived peacefully with a calm dog, but high-energy pets or crowded households aren’t ideal for him. Unexpectedly, he has grown close to Red during this time—a real friendship—so they’ll do best adopted together in a mellow, cat-wise household. Grumpy is fully litterbox trained, keeps a tidy home, and his vet care is current. He enjoys a mix of wet and dry food and, once comfortable, likes to keep his people company. If you know cats well, have patience, and want a companion with plenty of character and a bit of attitude, Grumpy (and Red) could be a great match. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
