As his confidence grows, his sweet, goofy, and playful personality starts to shine. He loves being close to his people, and watching him come out of his shell is incredibly rewarding. Corey is wonderful with kids, neutral around cats, and gets along well with other dogs. He walks nicely on a leash without pulling or reacting to people or dogs. He isn't comfortable in a crate or confined spaces and prefers to sleep under his foster mom's bed. He is house trained on a schedule and thrives with routine and predictability. Corey is likely a livestock guardian mix, so he naturally takes his role of watching over his home and family seriously. He may bark to alert you if something seems off-this is instinct, not aggression-and with structure and reassurance, he will learn what's normal in his environment.
