About Cricket
Cricket and her buddy, Mochi, are seeking a forever home together after overcoming a challenging past. Both dogs are affectionate, resilient, and ready to share their love in a new environment. This bonded pair arrived at a Texas shelter after their previous owner went into a nursing home, bringing with them a lifetime of experiences. After multiple surgeries and plenty of tender care, they have become healthy and happy. They donβt just rely on each other; they enrich each other's lives. Mochi, the older of the two at 7+ years, is a Wire-Haired Terrier Mix weighing in at 14 lbs. She might carry a seemingly grumpy face, but she is calm, loving, and watches over Cricket like a guardian. Cricket is a 8+ year old Chihuahua weighing 13 lbs. She is gentle and sensitive, having overcome a hernia and an eye issue. Though initially shy, she blossoms with trust, enjoying her time cuddled up for belly rubs. Mochi lends her the confidence she needs, making the pair inseparable. An ideal home for them requires a fenced yard and should ideally be without small children, allowing for a peaceful atmosphere where they can thrive together. They are 90% housebroken but continue to learn. This loving duo prefers calm dog companions, and they are crate trained. Cricket and Mochi are set for an adoption fee of $500 for the pair, which includes transport if needed. For anyone believing in the beauty of second chances, adopting these two could be a transformative experience. Ready to give them their happy ending?
