About Flaca

Flaca spent about a month on her own in Redlands, Miami after her previous owner fell ill and left the farm—she survived by finding food at a rescuer’s feeding station until she was finally brought to safety. Since landing with PLAY! K9 Rescue, Flaca has started to decompress and show more of her true colors. She’s a dominant female German Shepherd who does well in a pack environment but is just as comfortable as a solo dog. Flaca likes the company of other dogs but would thrive as an only pet, too. She is not suited for homes with small children, as she needs her personal space respected; she previously bit a child who entered her crate. This history isn’t held against her, but it’s critical that her boundaries are respected. The adoption fee covers her care—including veterinary expenses, behavioral assessment, and ongoing support; you’ll also be provided with lifelong training help through PLAY! K9 Academy and lifetime microchip registration. While you might not always know the background of a dog from a shelter, Flaca comes with full transparency about both her medical and behavioral history, giving you clear expectations from the start. Make her next chapter one where she can relax and trust in a new routine. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
