About Zoe
Name: Zoe Age: Young, fabulous, and unintentionally hilarious Special Feature: Bonus toenail on back right leg Breed: Certified Good Girl with a goofy streak Zoe’s Interests: •Sniffing dog butts (and occasionally human ones) •Terrorizing the pigeon and squirrel community •Long, luxurious, midday naps (preferably with my human) •Soccer balls (specifically the ones strangers are already playing with) •Being gently squished between my humans while they both hug me aka a “Hug Sandwich” •FaceTime calls with my long-distance weenie bestie, Ollie •Licking peanut butter off spoons (even when there’s a suspicious medicine-shaped treat hidden underneath) •Treats (very food-motivated and eager to learn) Zoe’s dislikes: •Sidewalk grates (hard no) •Car rides (she WILL puke. Multiple times. On ~everything~ you love.) •A proud nudist at heart, Zoe prefers to avoid her harness and collar. She is not aggressive, but will typically spend a few minutes dramatically avoiding you and walking laps around the apartment before eventually allowing you to put it on •VERY skeptical of elevators (not in a scary way, but she quite literally cannot fathom the teleporting aspect) •Sudden head touches (let’s build trust first) •Does great with older kids (mine is 7y.o) but lots of energy can be a bit overwhelming for her (honestly, same) Behavior Notes •Zoe is a medium-sized, slightly awkward girl with a curious spirit and a naturally goofy personality. She may be shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s affectionate, loyal, and full of charm. She thrives in calm environments and gains confidence from having dog friends around. She’s also deeply committed to being involved in all aspects of your life… including supervising bathroom visits (privacy is a social construct) •Zoe sometimes picks up foreign “treasures” off the sidewalk and attempts to eat them. The good news: she does not resource guard and will allow you to gently remove items from her mouth without a fight. Occasionally responds to “drop it” (when she feels like it) •She benefits from slow introductions to new environments and stimuli •Does great with other dogs and gets offended when they don’t stop to say hello on the street (she will literally start crying and whimpering) If you’re looking for a sweet, slightly awkward, unintentionally hilarious companion with a heart of gold… Zoe may be your perfect match. Swipe right on Zoe. She’s ready for her furever home. 🐶💛
