From her foster mom, Lucia: Marie is such a sweet, playful little girl with the cutest mix of calm curiosity and sudden bursts of energy. She’ll start off quietly exploring and watching everything around her, and then out of nowhere, she’s flipping, pouncing, and turning playtime into her own little gymnastics routine. Her signature move is doing little flips while she plays… it’s the funniest thing and always catches you off guard. She’s also incredibly agile and fast, always finding new ways to explore, climb, and get where she wants to go. One of my favorite things she does is use a rug to slide herself across the floor like it’s her own little runway. Even with all that playful energy, Marie absolutely loves to cuddle. She’s happiest sitting in your lap, soaking up pets, and just looking up at you with the sweetest, most curious eyes. She really connects with her person and loves that quiet, close time. She was found with her siblings and bottle fed, so she’s very comfortable with people. She gets along well with other cats and enjoys having a playmate. I think Marie would do best in a home where someone has time to play with her and also give her the attention and cuddles she loves. A calmer home would suit her well so she can explore and settle in at her own pace. She is very close with her brother Oliver. They love to wrestle, explore, and then curl up together to nap, so if you’re open to two, they really are a special pair. At Meowtown, we don’t have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family.
