She’ll happily follow you from room to room and settle right into your lap the moment you sit down. Emery came to us through no fault of her own after her previous family fell on hard times and became homeless. Despite the change in her world, she has remained gentle, affectionate, and full of quiet devotion. She has a calm, relaxed temperament and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can truly shine. Emery enjoys her walks (especially with a harness—she’s not a fan of collars!) but she’s just as content curling up beside you for a cozy evening in. While she sleeps well in a crate, her dream spot is snuggled up close to her favorite human. Emery does well with other calm, easygoing dogs and is also good with cats. She prefers companions who respect her space—overly energetic or “in-your-face” dogs aren’t her style. A laid-back household where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished would be perfect for her.
