Meet Monty! Monty is a Shih Tzu mix, estimated to be around 5 years old and weighing about 16 pounds. He was found as a stray and sadly was never reclaimed. Monty is a friendly, easygoing pup who enjoys both his independence and some quality time with his human friends. He walks well on a leash and enjoys casual strolls where he can sniff and explore. Monty would do well in a home with children ages 8 and up. He has the potential to live with cats with proper introduction. Monty did well meeting another shelter dog and has the potential to live with another canine companion. A meet and greet would take place at the shelter with other dogs living in the home to ensure it is a good match. Monty is available now! He will need to be in our Foster-to-Adopt program while he awaits his upcoming neuter procedure, but would love to live with you throughout that time!
