Miss Macaroni came into my life almost 3 years ago - at first a timid street girlie, looking for food and respite after being bullied out of another cat colony. Over time, she got more comfortable with me and neighbors walking by, and was always eager to greet me at meal times! It also became apparent that she was in a lot of pain, especially when eating. So, after exhausting many other options, I brought her into my house this past winter, and took care of her much needed dental work. It has taken a while for her wilder character to settle down, and she still has her moments, but her transformation has been remarkable! She purrs when you pet her (and gently lets you know when she's had enough), loves to chase wand toys and kick her catnip banana, lays in her window seat basking in the sun, and gobbling up any and all food you put in front of her! She will need someone patient, as she is still very much her own kitty, and may take some time to get fully comfortable.
