Meet Hayden! Hayden is a name many in our community might recognize. For a long time, she was a well known stray in Balch Springs, surviving on her own and raising litter after litter of puppies. After many attempts, our officers were finally able to safely trap her and bring her into the care of the shelter. Her Journey: Since arriving at BSAS, Hayden has shown us just how resilient and brave she truly is. After years of focusing only on survival, she is finally learning what it feels like to be safe. She has been making excellent progress and is slowly discovering that human hands can be kind. Her Ideal Home: Hayden is looking for a very special "forever" person. She needs a quiet home with gentle hands and patient hearts to help her continue her journey of learning how to be a beloved pet. Because she spent her life outdoors, everything about a home—from the sound of a TV to the feeling of a rug—will be new to her. A secure fenced yard and a calm environment are a must.
