Shamrock is our newest resident and adoptee. He was in dire need of rescue and we knew we had to him this sweet boy! Shamrock's owner went in for a surgery and unfortunately had complications, landing him in a coma. With no positive outcome in sight, poor Shamrock found himself alone in the apartment for weeks, with a family member coming only once a day. As if that weren't bad enough, when we received a photo of this big guy, we could see something was definitely wrong, as around his eyes and mouth were hairless, irritated and red, looking so painful. We immediately took him in and our clinic team began assessing him. We are still trying to find the cause of his alopecia but it does not stop him from being the sweetest, most loving boy. Shamrock is six years old and weighs in at 111 pounds. He is overweight and needs a good diet, to help him feel healthy and ease his joints. Shamrock will be tested with other dogs shortly.
